We remember our founding partner and Managing Director, Mr. Mohamed Khalifa A. Al-Sada, with deep sadness. His visionary leadership and commitment to excellence have profoundly shaped Hexagon. His passion for collaboration and creativity has been at the heart of Hexagon since its inception in 2011. His legacy continues to inspire us: "Markus’s unmatched special effects and Alihan’s client-focused management, guided by my leadership, united to create happiness by helping brands express themselves through meaningful connections and unforgettable experiences." We honor his memory by continuing the journey he began, ensuring his vision endures through the work we do and the experiences we create.

MARKUS KATTERLE
FOUNDING PARTNER

A visionary in special effects and storytelling with nearly 40 years of global experience. As the creative force behind Hexagon, he was the first pebble in the lake that sparked a transformative wave in the industry. Markus also founded Flash Art Special Effects, expanding its worldwide over the past 30 years. Notably, he directed the special effects and pyrotechnics for the 15th Asian Games opening and closing ceremonies in 2006, marking a pivotal moment in Doha's sports event development.

With over 20 years of experience in event design and operations, specializing in multimedia shows and special effects. With a diverse career spanning over 25 years across various sectors, he has been with Hexagon since its establishment in 2011. As the Executive Director, Alihan oversees major projects, daily operations, client networking, and drives the company's growth and expansion vision.

Holding a bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management, Gulsah started her career in Turkey, working for Oyak Tourism and Travel Services which gave her the opportunity to conduct events in more than 30 countries.

She advanced her career in Avon Cosmetics and then Qatar National Bank in corporate communication positions, specializing in events, sponsorship, corporate social responsibility programs and public relations.

Moving to Doha in 2017, she gained local market experience in Mazaya WLL and Qatar Airways Group in business development positions. After being part of more than 250 events during her journey, Gulsah brings her experience and expertise to Hexagon WLL and serves as the Business Director of Events and Entertainment

He entered the events industry in 1998, gaining experience in operations, logistics, artist management, and technical production. As a seasoned event producer, Alihan joined Hexagon in 2012, bringing extensive expertise in design, planning, logistics, and crew management to ensure operational excellence and client satisfaction.
